My trip to Taupo

Hi guys welcome back from the holidays. This blog post is about my trip to Taupo, because in the holidays I went for a trip to Taupo with my aunty, cousins, uncle, mum, dad, my brother and 2 of my aunties friends. We all stayed in the 2 stories high bach. But we had seperate rooms. When we were there, my mum and Aunty with my cousin Kane, went to a shop and saw Liske but the other people and me went on a boat. My brother Max fell asleep on my Dad. It was so much fun.
When it was dinner the kids got McDonalds and the adults got an Indian dish and shared it with each other. My mum and aunt bought back a beanie with a dinosaur face with holes for the eyes and you put it over your face and Roar. My cousin Jodie got the same but an owl. My one is very special because I got a kiwi snow globe. After that we went to the bee hive and I got kiwi earrings

Dance Club

Hi guys this is a post for you to remember that dance club is on every 2nd Friday remember that we do dancer of the week. That means the best dancer gets to get a certificate and gets a photo. Dance club is for any ages and please come to it we just play songs and the crowd fellows the leaders. If you want to request a song for us just comment down in the coomments please. The leaders are Me (Mya), Liske, Caitlin, Keighan.

How to shot a netball.

 For those people that dont know how to shot a netball well have a look at my instructions.

It was very hard to do because you had to do it like nobody knew and you had to add and add.

How to shoot a netball

Materials

1. Netball ball
2. Your body
3. Netball hoop

Method

1. Grab a netball ball put it in you hands and make a W with your fingers. But spead your finger out but not to far.
2. Start by standing close and then when you get better you can start to move back.
3. Point your toes to the hoop and aim for the hoop/rim.
4. Hold the ball from the chest or from the head. Keep on aiming for the hoop.
5. Launch the ball up with your arm muscles and aim for the other side of the rim. If you don’t know what the rim is- it is the thing that is like a circle holding the net.
6. Jump if it rebounds and keep trying to get it in. If you get it in then step back. If you get it in again then keep on stepping back.

I am proud of this because it was very fun and because you got to learn words that you did not know about and you got to ask questions that go with the article that we read.  

My biggest challenge was to find what the words mean. Because I had no idea what thee even meant.

Parris Goebel Reading Response 3

For Literacy I am learning about Parris Goebel and we get to do a dance because she is a New Zealand hip hop dancer. For our reading response we had to do a dance. I did the dance to the Cha Cha Slide have a look. Hope you enjoy.

Cycling

For nearly a year now all the school have been doing  safe cycling. We have it on until the 4th of December.
We learn to do heaps of things on the bike but we don't learn to skid because it is dangerous and the track that got made for us could get wrecked. The little people with the trailer wheels could get stuck.

Finding the range

For maths I did finding the range for some maths and some of the questions were really tricky for me. But I got there.
This is what my maths looks like.

Finding the Range - Using an Effective Subtraction Strategy

Range = Highest data - lowest data

Our three go to strategies:

• PV: 73 - 27 = 73 - 20 = 53 / 53 - 7 = 46
• EA: (73 + 3)  (27 + 3) = 76 - 30 = 46
• Reversing: 27 + __ = 73 / 27 + 3 = 30 / 30 + 43 = 73 / 43 + 3 = 46

  

Work out the range for these sets of numbers. You must use each go to strategy at least once.

Hi guys welcome back to my blog. This post is going to be a learning post. This is my writing/literacy from this week.

Purpose: to PERSUADE

I am learning how to improve my sentence formation

Success Criteria:

• Start most of my sentences with different words
• Include simple and compound sentences*
• Include some complex sentences**
• State your point of view, then include three big reasons to support it.

Include emotional and persuasive language

Why everyone should like Star Wars.

I think that everyone should like Star Wars.

How come you don’t believe me? I think Star Wars is soo cool, and I think that you should like it too, because it makes you look up to yourself because in Star Wars there is a lot of fighting going on. It makes you look up to yourself by the fighting and if someone comes up to you and bullies you can do some of the moves that is in  the movies. The moves are magical because every hit would hurt and the moves are also powerful.

Secondly in the movies 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 it is very interesting and it is relaxable it is so relexable you can even have popcorn. It relates to the movies because it has the same characters but in the star wars 7 movie they have gone very old.

My third and final reason is because you can also make jokes about it and there is Star Wars days plus on the star wars day you can say “ May the 4th be with you” or you can say “ May the force be with you.”

Now hopefully you like Star Wars now!
