cultural evening

Kia Ora tama riki ma. Ko Mya Wallace Tuku ingoa. Hello everyone my name is Mya Wallace. Last week we had our Cultural evening. That is when everyone shows off there skills. We had Kapahaka, Pasifica and choir but not only those we had the finalist for photography and final winners for poetry. I was very nervous at first but I loved preforming. Then on Friday I got a postcard for "stretching her capitalising and perseverance learning muscles. and for participating in all the shows but 2. 1 I could not do and the other I cant sing good".

My poem
Maui-tiki-tiki-a-Taranga
had a magic fish hook
with his foster brothers
paddled out to sea
in his waka. Hei!

Maui-tiki-tiki-a-Taranga
took his magic fish hook
swung it round his head
threw it in the sea
said his karakia. Hei!

Maui-tiki-tiki-a-Taranga
pulled his magic fish hook
tugged his magic fish hook
heaved his magic fish hook
Te ika nui, Hei!

Spring

SPRING
Hi guys
I would like to share with you my poem about spring.
It was for week 6 term 3 for the home learning Rimu Moriarty did.
I hope you you enjoy.

This is my favourite time of year,
When the magic of spring starts to appear.

There are leaves on trees,
With BUZZING Bees.

I see the green grass,
We can play outside at last.

Ducklings in the river with there mother,
Following behind one another.

I really do love spring,
It is the most magical thing.

My special place

Week 5 we did writing and Mr Moriarty had My special place and Mrs Love had Rhino report  and Miss Plimmer had Diamante poem.

I went to Mr Moriarty and I went to My Special Place

My special place

As I see the salty swish I start wiggling and jumping. I race to the changing rooms and put on  my awesome togs.

I go to the salty swish and start to jump over the waves.

I can see my uncle fishing, he has caught a snapper.

Over in the ocean are some men and women surfing where the fish swim.

I start to head back, my feet are sizzling on the sand.

I spot my tent site and hurry over, this is my special place.
